Air Craft has many years’ experience in providing holistic, sustainable solutions that address the key areas of heating, cooling and ventilation. So that clients can arrive at an informed opinion on the correct systems to install for their particular needs, Air Craft offers a full range of technical consultancy services to assist them.
A typical customer engages Air Craft early on during the planning application stage. Assistance can be provided with heating and cooling load assessments, SAP calculations and the provision of project management services for the M&E aspects of the build. Any fees charged for this work are then deducted from the overall value of the project if Air Craft is awarded the contract to install the systems required.
Air Craft takes the client on a complete journey from initial concept of the design aspirations to full implementation and commissioning. Design & Consultancy
- Outline system designs and budgetary costings
- Energy statements, predicted energy and on construction energy performance (SAP and EPC methods) for planning applications and construction purposes
- Building fabric heat loss and overheating assessments
- Ventilation and indoor air quality (IAQ) designs
- Technical support and training of client’s resident contractor (if required)
- CAD drawings for HVAC and plant room schematics
Project Management
- Liaison between client and appointed architect in the design process
- Liaison between client and ancillary trades in the construction process
- Removal of the need for the end client to micro manage
Installation Services
- Coordination of materials and equipment deliveries
- Clear communications with the client on progress and achievement of the project plan milestones
- Enforcement of the Microgeneration Certification Scheme(MCS) and Building Regulations for the systems designed and installed
- Commissioning, building compliance certification, operation and maintenance manuals and as built drawings.

All designs are fully compliant with current Building Regulations, including the latest changes to Parts L and F in preparation for the 2025 Future Homes Standard. They are based upon detailed product performance, heat loss calculations and other specification data analysis, ensuring complete compatibility between different technologies.
The company is fully manufacturer trained, a member of all the appropriate trade bodies, fully approved under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) and the Renewable Energy Consumer Code. Professional Indemnity Insurance is also held.
Air Craft has based its business activities at the National Self Build & Renovation Centre (NSBRC) in Swindon, Wiltshire which has been set up specifically to meet the needs of self-builders, renovators and home improvers. The company fully supports one of the overall ambitions of the NSBRC – to provide impartial advice, to inspire and to educate. The company is a member of the Association for Environment Conscious Building (AECB) and the National Custom and Self Build Association.
